Housing Authority CEO Alipate Naiorosui said that the project of the city of Waila was another ambitious movement, all in accordance with its objective to migrate citizens of affordable rental housing in homeownership.
The goals of the project city of those who live on the sidelines as young couples just starting out, informal settlers and single parents.
Mr Naorosui said arising from Malaysia, the concept of housing and the city was being built on land belonging to authority in an area governed by Local authority Nausori.
He said that the city would be decided later that that authority is the first venture with a Malaysian company.
Development partner organisation, Top Symphony, is based in Malaysia with a parent company with the same name, second Managing Director local Doctor Sharifuddin Wahab.
He said that the city, which would be self-sufficient, would be composed of several houses designed for young couples, families who need two to three bedrooms.
"Commercial development covers shops, malls, food courts and organized a single light industry for manufacturing.
"Waila city will be known through sports with a nearby airport".
In the master plan Provisions allow the construction of mosques, temples, churches, chapels, small houses of worship, a Community Hall and adjacent to the Mall market where it will be a hotel and office building.
